by Taxi - There are taxi stands outside of the baggage claim area (lower level), see an attendent, the cost should be around $30 - $35.

by Super Shuttle Bus - A shared-ride van to South Beach will cost around $20 (including a $1 fuel surcharge), no reservations are need, you may need to wait a short while for an available van, shuttle bus stands are outside of the baggage claim area, see an attendent, tell him you are going to a hotel on South Beach, have the hotel name and address for the driver, you are in Zone 4.

by Renting a Car - From the 3rd level in the airport, take the Skyride (moving walks) to the MIA Mover station (between the Dolphin and Flamingo Parking Garages). From there, take the MIA Mover (free, 1.25 mile elevated people mover system) to the Miami Intermodal Center (MIC) were all rental car facilities are located.
Note: The Shelborne charges $35 per day for valet.
Note: Many of the toll roads in Florida are going 'electronic only' (no cash), please ask you car rental company abouts it's policy ( e.g. daily fees + tolls ).

by Public Transportation - You can catch Metro Bus #150 ( aka the Airport Flyer ) outside of the baggage claim area, Ground Level of Concourse E, the bus runs every 30 minutes from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week, it will stop directly in font of the hotel *, the cost is $2.00, cash, exact change. * = Coming from the airport, the bus will be heading south on Collins Ave, the Shelborne will be on the left at 18th street. At 17th street, the bus will jog over 1 street and continue heading south on Washington Ave, loop around at the bottom of the peninsula (South Pointe) and start heading back north. At Lincold Road, the bus will jog back over to Collins Ave and pass again in front of the Shelborne, if you want a quick tour ! Check out the route map on the above web sites.
